Ever since then I have had items scanned in and was provided a hard copy receipt to validate that item had in deed been shipped. It ultimately arrived and when I check there tracking status, the periodic updates of where the item was was missing the only thing it showed was that it had been delivered. Ever since experiencing a first class package that had somehow been missed when I shipped it, there was no tracking information on the item. I have had several buyers contact me to find out if the item had shipped since there was no tracking information available to prove that I had in fact shipped their item. For items less than $20.00 in value, I don't want to jeopardize my feedback (currently at 100%) and good standing for future buyers. While I welcome the new method by which those of us that sell trading cards can ship using a PWE with the added benefit of tracking and it being insured, there is one slight problem that I am facing (and possibly other sellers may be facing this issue as well) is that unfortunately there is no way for these items to be scanned in at the retail counter like the first class packages that have a familiar bar code which can be scanned in. I'm concerned about the post office's ability to fulfill the Ebay Standard Envelope program in a way to give buyers and sellers peace of mind that they can look in their tracking history and see the item in transit and most importantly delivered. Have these buyers contacted me to ask for any further info on the shipment of the items? No. Have these buyers received these items? Not sure, based on the info above. Have used Ebay Standard Envelope since end of February for about 30-40 transactions. A fellow mentor tested this with a knowledgeable postal clerk and basically, it needs to bend easily around a standard coffee mug to be able to go through the sorting machines correctly. I keep seeing you use the word rigid too when describing your envelope type, rigid is NOT allowed. dealing with a postal clerk who wasn't familiar with You're right that the clerk most likely doesn't know the rules for this mail class.īoth of the pages that have information about the envelope size state the same dimensions. My post office sells 6"x8" rigid mailers so I asked the clerk about those. But, I read "should have" as not being the same as "must have." Also, there are other items that give maximum and minimum envelope dimensions and mine comply with those requirements. ![]()

Celtx can only import or export text or HTML files.įade In uses the traditional keyboard shortcuts (e.g., on a Mac, ⌘1 for a slugline, ⌘2 for action, etc.) so it's not confusing to get started. Final Draft can import text files, RTF files, and FCF (file converter files), and it can export to text, rich text, other Final Draft versions, and send production information to Avid and Movie Magic. With regard to import/export options, Fade In can import Final Draft and Celtx files (though it can't export Celtx files). And Celtx, a free application (with the option of a $14.95 add-on), features a number of ways to nest projects and notes within projects, allowing for a sort of online file cabinet it also has a plethora of elements like storyboards that can be cross-referenced, though for it to work as a production workflow tool, the entire production has to be using Celtx (which won't export to Final Draft or Movie Magic, the two industry standards.) There are workarounds for exporting Celtx, but they involve exporting the file as either text or HTML, then importing to your application of choice and going through all the headaches of reformatting that usually entails, especially with Final Draft. In Fade In, it is possible to create index cards (they are generated automatically based on the number of sluglines, but you can't add more, for instance to create a board with your scenes before writing them.) They're also monochromatic and not as detailed as the color-coded options in Final Draft, where specific production elements can be marked and organized. That being said, Fade In doesn't have the numerous pre-production elements native to applications like Final Draft and Celtx. ![]() ![]() Additional formats, such as Cole and Haag, Warner Bros., and others such as A/V, radio and even a graphic novel template can be downloaded from the site. Some of Fade In's features are: WYSIWYG editing, Full Unicode Support, the ability to Modify script styles, custom formatting, text highlighting, line length adjustment, more and continued, revision page colors, scene number locking and many more. Here's a side-by-side comparison of features between Fade In, Final Draft 8, Celtx, and Adobe Story. It's an easy to use, intuitive screenwriting application, and runs at a brisk pace, with very little delay: The interface of Fade In is very clean, but deceptively simple. I tested it on a 2012 Macbook Pro running 10.7.5. To solve his quandary, Kent wrote a new application, which runs on Mac, Windows, Linux, and has versions for iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android. But firing up the latest and brand-newest Final Draft on a brand new computer proved that would not be the case. Final Draft 7 in particular was a bit of a fiasco. Getting back to some writing projects after finishing up a feature, part of me hoped that Final Draft 8 would heal the litany of ailments suffered by its predecessors. While the newest version of Final Draft is $249, or $79 for an upgrade from a previous version, Fade In is currently just $49, and its usual price is $99, which is a big plus for the screenwriter on a budget (and pretty much every screenwriter I know is on a budget).įade In was developed by Kent Tessman, a filmmaker who was dissatisfied with Final Draft, though he had been using it for years:įinal Draft has always been a bit like writing in a funhouse mirror by strobe light. With repair of the patellar tendon, your regular knee movements may be returned, and normal activities restored. You may need to do special exercises to help build the strength back in your knees. After surgery you may need a splint or cast to protect the tendon and help it heal. Tendons taken from other parts of the body may also be used to replace damaged tendons. This is usually done for chronic tendon injuries. The tendon may also be sewn to the bone using special tools, such as buttons and screws. During surgery, caregivers repair the injured patellar tendon by reattaching the ends back together. The repair will depend on the location, duration, and extent of the injury, and the age of the patient. Distal tendon ruptures (tendon ruptures far from the knee) are injuries that usually need surgery. Injuries that occurred within six weeks are considered as acute, and after six weeks they are chronic. A complete tendon rupture may be acute or chronic based on the duration of time from injury. Patellar tendon repair is done when the tendon is partially or completely torn. It attaches to the front of the tibia (shin bone) and bottom of the patella (kneecap). The patellar tendon is located at the knee. Tendons connect muscles to bones, and together with muscles, work to move your arms, legs, fingers, and toes. Patellar tendon repair is surgery to fix your damaged patellar tendon. ![]() ![]() Corporate credit cards are never given to everyone at a company. All these packet traces are performed at the client side of the connection. My local application sends an ACK packet after a further millisecond and the connection has been established, with a total elapsed time of 1.168 seconds. ![]() After one Round Trip Time (RTT) interval of 280ms there is a SYN+ACK packet received in response. There is an excellent article on this topic by Emile Aben on the RIPE LABs site (“ Hampered Eyeballs“), and I’d here like to build on his work by taking a slightly deeper investigation of the issue and look at how a number of popular web browsers and operating systems cope with accessing dual stack servers, and look in particular at what happens when things don’t go as smoothly as one would hope. In this article I’ll look at how browsers on dual stack client systems access dual stack servers, and examine the corner cases when one protocol or the other isn’t quite working properly, and how the browser attempts to recover from the error. It proposes taking the essentially sequential behavior of current implementations where they probe for connectivity in one protocol and then the other, and attempting to perform the initial connection (DNS name resolution and TCP connection handshake) in each protocol in parallel, and then proceeding with the fastest connection. There is a proposal doing the rounds in the IETF for standardising dual stack client connection management called “ Happy Eyeballs”. In this column I’d like to head upward in the protocol stack to the rarefied air way up there at the level of the application, and look at how applications are managing to cope with the issue of two IP stacks. The introduction of a second IP protocol into the Internet presents many technical issues, and in previous columns we’ve explored many of the issues related to network engineering and infrastructure. ![]() ![]() Most physicians recommend a D&C procedure to exclude the presence of endometrial carcinoma and consider hysterectomy for complex or high-grade hyperplasia.īiopsy specimens that suggest the presence of endometrial carcinoma (75 percent are adenocarcinoma) should prompt consideration of referral to a gynecologic oncologist for definitive surgical therapy. Some physicians will treat complex hyperplasia with or without atypia with hormonal therapy (medroxyprogesterone, 10 to 20 mg daily for up to three months). Most authors recommend a follow-up endometrial biopsy after three to 12 months, regardless of the management strategy.Ītypical complex hyperplasia is a premalignant lesion that progresses to cancer in 30 to 45 percent of women. Pressure can be applied with cotton swabs if the tenaculum sites bleed following removal of the tenaculum. If a second pass is to be made, the catheter should not be contaminated when being emptied of the first specimen. Some physicians prefer to make a second pass into the uterus with the catheter to optimize tissue sampling. To remove the sample from the endometrial catheter, the piston can be gently reinserted, forcing the tissue out of the catheter tip. Once the catheter fills with tissue, it is withdrawn, and the sample is placed in the formalin container. Make at least four up and down excursions to ensure that adequate tissue is in the catheter. Use a 360-degree twisting motion to move the catheter between the uterine fundus and the internal cervical os ( Figure 1). The catheter tip is moved with an in-and-out motion, but the tip does not exit the endometrial cavity through the cervix, which maintains the vacuum effect. Once the catheter is in the uterine cavity, the internal piston on the catheter is fully withdrawn, creating suction at the catheter tip. The catheter tip is then inserted into the uterine fundus or until resistance is felt. The endometrial biopsy catheter tip is inserted into the cervix, avoiding contamination from the nearby tissues. The distance from the fundus to the external cervical os can be measured by the gradations on the uterine sound and generally will be 6 to 8 cm. ![]() The smallest size is inserted, followed by insertion of successively larger dilators until the sound passes easily to the fundus. Occasionally, steady, moderate pressure is required to insert the sound through the closed internal cervical os. Attempt to insert the uterine sound to the fundus. Pull outward on the tenaculum gently, straightening the uterocervical angle to reduce the chance of posterior perforation. The author prefers placement of the tenaculum in most cases, for increased safety, and grasps the anterior lip of the cervix with the tenaculum teeth in the horizontal plane. The tenaculum is placed on the anterior lip of the cervix, grabbing enough tissue that the cervix will not lacerate when traction is applied. The cervix often is too mobile to allow for passage of the sound but can be stabilized with the tenaculum. The cervix is gently probed with the uterine sound. The nurse can then spray the cervix with the 20 percent benzocaine spray for 5 seconds, avoiding contamination of the sterile speculum with the extended spray nozzle. The gloves can be washed with povidone-iodine solution if contaminated. The cervix is centered in the speculum and cleansed with povidone-iodine solution.
